Well, only 21 books this year, so I wasn’t even close to breaking 30, which was what I was hoping when I read a record-breaking 27 books in 2008. But 2009 was a busy year and hey, I got married last fall!
Again, I experienced a nice variety of fiction this past year, but the most notable difference was the introduction of non-fiction into my general reading. Not just one, but 3 non-fiction books: one about collecting art on a budget, another about the culture of loners and one about making marriage work!
I also read the first two Master & Commander books, and hope to read at least one more in 2010, as well as continue my trajectory of non-fiction, with hopefully some science books that are already in my on-deck pile.
